I just looked back on my August 6th blog and I was complaining about the drought we were experiencing here on the farm. How quickly 2 weeks can change my outlook on the situation. I tried to walk on the sweet potato hills this am only to sink to my ankles in mud. I wasn't trying to walk in the lower valleys where the water runs off. Our fields are a mud hole at present. That being said, we still have fields and a harvest when so many have lost all they have worked their lives for. We are in prayer for those in our state who are in need and have lost everything. During these times we are reminded to look to Christ. He is our only comfort, help, redeemer, and friend. I would like to encourage all of the Scoggins Family Farm customers to support their fellow neighbors in their plight. If you can't find an individual to help, then find a donation site. Do unto others as you would have done to you. Love your neighbor as yourself. Thank Ya'll ! Saturday August 20th we will be bringing to market:

The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaves, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
