This Week we are highlighting a local farmer that has become a partner of ours!  Gerald Darbonne of The Darbonne Farm in DeRidder is a great farmer!  He raises LOTS of local, home grown vegetables and also Pasture Raised Lamb and Pork!  The animals are ALWAYS antibiotic and hormone free!  All the meat is USDA Certified and Shrink Wrapped!  It is beautiful and fresh!  The animals are harvested usually the week before market and frozen for ease of handling!  No old, antibiotic and hormone injected meat here!  FRESH is the best!  We look forward to meeting your lamb and pork needs!

The tomatoes are coming on but sadly are only about the size of a 50 cent piece as of yet!   We are soooo looking forward to that first bite of fresh tomato!  Growing in the garden this season we have:

Purple Hull Peas
Crowder Peas
Sweet Corn
We are in the process of planting 3 acres of Purple Hull Peas, Crowder Peas and Green Beans!  We will have a busy summer!  The Sweet Corn is growing fast!!
