MAY 2nd FARMERS MARKET

Wow! Can you believe it?  A weekend with BEAUTIFUL weather!  We are so excited to go to market!  We don't have enough veggies yet but the cucumbers have provided some great garnish to our salads this week.  Hopefully by next market we will have squash and cucumber.  The tomatoes are still Satsuma size but are coming along.  Potatoes are blooming so that means harvest soon also.  We will be planting Purple Hull Peas and Crowder Peas this next week, Lord Willing.

We were spared from the horrible hail damage and tornado this past week.  Our neighbors had significant damage all around us.  A local farmer lost his entire nursery of citrus trees, pecan trees, persimmon trees, pear trees and much more!  If you have never grafted a tree, it is a time consuming and tedious skill.  He will re-graft 600 pecan trees!  The life of farming is becoming more real to our family.  We appreciate your prayers!

This week we will bring to market:

HillCrest Creamery:

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy GOD shall keep unto thee the covenant and the MERCY which he sware unto thy fathers. Deut. 7:12
